Min, Max and Close Buttons not working

May 16, 2013 at 11:10 AM
Ok, So i'm working with an MDI form in VB.net 2012. I've managed to Inherit RibbonForm on my main form which eliminated my title bar at the top, the problem is that now my minimize, Maximize and Exit, buttons on the top of my main window won't work. I tried the example app and found that it works fine, so I'm confident it's something I'm doing wrong as opposed to the component. I'm using the most current version. I'm new to VB.net and it's been a really long time since I've programmed anything, so an example or explanation of how i should be implementing this in VB.net so that the buttons work would be great. Thanks

Hi,
What have you done so far? Maybe you should provide a sample project or screenshots at least.
There is a vb.net example available (but not for MDI parent):

You may want to have a look at the downloads section.

Hey guys thanks for the help, I checked out the VB.net example you posted and after a little bit of work i got everything working right. In all honest there wasnt much difference in my implementation than in the example, still not really sure what the problem was, but i guess the devil is in the details as they say.
